Portrait or Personal Image - Kerri L Antes

One of my earliest childhood memories is of laughing, beribboned me skipping down a path as the subject of an action shot demonstration for a children's photography class. I have loved capturing life's moments - the magical and the mundane - all my life. In my sessions I am looking for that moment of connection between subjects: a baby discovering his own fingers, siblings sharing a rare hug, or even a child showing his need for a nap with an undisguised grumpy face.

I am a proud wife and mom of three spirited young men. My family's interest in music has led me down some interesting paths, indeed. One son plays fiddle, which in turn has connected me with some wonderful friends in the bluegrass community, both in California and elsewhere. Here's the best part - I have been able to combine my interests and have had the chance to photograph a number of bands for their websites, promotional posters and cd covers.

I am blessed to be able to continue learning and improving my photography and truly enjoy working with each subject. Each person carries with them their own spirit and inner beauty - finding that single moment when they present themselves and capturing that image is one of my greatest joys.
